Today for lunch I had pizza and salad. While dining, I reflected upon Library 2.0 and the thoughts presented in the five articles. One major message is that technology is evolving and we, as library workers, need to stay ahead of the learning curve. There is a definite trend toward not just making information retrievable on the internet but rather using technology to bring the right information to the user at the right time - push, instead of pull technology. Another trend is toward making collaborative knowledge/information available in the internet. Worldcat and Delicious are just two examples. To me, technologies that support this are very powerful and could do much to further society.
